Social Media Guidance
We recognize the value of using social media to share WSB and Agbara news with interested stakeholders. To that end, we have a proactive strategy to use WSB’s and Agbara’s LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook social media accounts to amplify the official announcement.
Our posts, which will go live shortly after the distribution of the press release, will be short and factual, linking to the official WSB/Agbara news release.
The following guidelines should be followed by all staff:
Social Media Use Guidelines
Official announcements will be made on WSB’s and Agbara’s social media platforms, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
Individuals are encouraged to share the official WSB and Agbara posts on their personal accounts on those platforms.
While demonstrating excitement about the announcement is welcomed, staff should avoid editorializing or speculating about the impact of the news, including in response to comments on any shared posts.
Individuals should not engage in a back/forth conversation with commenters or attempt to answer questions; redirecting people to WSB’s and Agbara’s website or the official news release for information is appropriate.
If a client posts a comment asking for a response, it is appropriate to let the client know that a representative will reach out directly to them. Elevate the comments immediately to ensure a timely and direct response.
Please alert Ben Maurer or Val Brennan if you receive any concerning questions or comments.
If the media attempt to engage, redirect them to Ben or Val.
Remember, you are a representative of WSB and Agbara even on your personal social media channels and what you say reflects the company.
